Lenovo-Google smartphone tryst tries Project-Tango AR phablet

Google and Lenovo plan an AR smartphone—the first product of the ex-Motorola Project Tango research. These two companies are gung-ho about this augmented-reality technology, but they’re doing a terrible job of explaining why we should care.

Apparently, you can use it to play games, get directions, and measure things. Umm, that’s nice.

In IT Blogwatch, bloggers try harder to explain. Project Tango needs better demos—how about playing hopscotch with a pebble on Mars?..
