COVID-Safe Policy, Procedures and Guidelines
The events industry has forever changed in a world affected by COVID-19. The health and safety of our guests, staff and community is our highest priority and paramount. The team at TECHSPO is dedicated to ensuring a great experience at our in-person events, and that includes providing a safe, clean and hygienic environment for our delegates.
Some of the key areas we have implemented safe and hygienic measures at our in-person events at each venue include;
- Limiting Venue Capacities to allow for Social Distancing
- Health and Safety Protocols
- Safe Food and Beverages and Food-handling
- Sanitation Stations with Hand Sanitizer and Wet Wipes Dispensers
- Sanitation and Disinfection of Common and High-Traffic Areas
- Physical Distancing Measures Between Attendees
- Social Distancing Room and Seating Configurations
- Non-Contact Thermal Temperature Scanning
We kindly ask that all in-person attendees adhere to the safety procedures and guidelines below:
Wear a Mask
The TECHSPO staff will be required to wear masks while interfacing with customers. While masks are not mandatory, we strongly encourage everyone to wear one, especially when moving between sessions and interacting with others.
Wash Your Hands Often
Sanitation stations will be available throughout the event venue with hand sanitizers and wipes. Wash your hands often during the event. This is especially important after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing; going to the bathroom; and before eating food.
No Handshakes, Hugs, or Fist Bumps
We will be asking all attendees, staff, exhibitors and sponsors to avoid handshakes, hugs or fist bumps and adhere to a “no touch” policy. Elbow-bumps and footshakes welcome.
If You Are Feeling Sick
If you have a temperature, are showing any potential symptoms of COVID-19 (such as fever, coughing, sore throat, shortness of breath), have tested positive for COVID-19, or have been in close contact with anyone that has tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of the event then you need to stay home and request a refund. If you don’t feel well, please stay home.
Get Vaccinated in Advance
All TECHSPO Staff, Speakers, Exhibitors and Attendees are required to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) prior to attending the expo for the care, consideration and wellbeing of other delegates in attendance.
Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination Required
All TECHSPO Staff, Speakers, Exhibitors and Attendees will be required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination when checking in at the Registration Desk at TECHSPO in order to receive their badge and access the event. Participants must show a hard copy, or digital copy in a health mobile app (such as the CLEAR Health Pass) of their COVID-19 Vaccination; Record Card, Passport or Certificate. Those who are unable to provide this documentation will not be allowed entry into the event.
