AMPY

We spend a lot of time trying to think of ways to multitask every situation. We can read emails while working out on a treadmill, add to meeting notes on the way to work, and file paperwork while we’re sitting in bed. What if you could add another element of efficiency to your everyday tasks?

Working out isn’t fun, but is mandatory if you want to keep your body in good shape. It’s easy to watch TV or read if you’re doing a bike machine, but it’s still boring as all get out. If you have the AMPY Move, then at least you’ll be charging a backup battery while you’re at it. This uses the kinetic energy from your motion, and turns it into into energy for your phone, tablet, or whatever you have that can be charged up through 2.0 or 3.0 USB.

On the device are status and activity buttons, the button to the left will show the battery level, and the one on the right can be pressed so you can shake AMPY and watch it create power. It’s slightly curved so it sits up against your body, and is sweat-proof, but don’t go trying to toss this in a pool. It has two charging ports, and houses a 1800mAh battery that can fully charge an iPhone 6. One hour of activity equals one hour of phone time, which means you’re going to have to up your exercise game. This is going to cost you $99 for the motion charger, and another $30 for an accessory kit.
