Le Max Pro Unveiled at CES 2016
By Nivedit M
While most smartphone companies shy out of launching new devices within CES, the first few days saw quite a few developments within the Chinese smartphone space. There have been some launches from Huawei, and LeTV has now joined the lineup with taking the covers off their Le Max Pro at CES 2016.
The Le Max Pro is arguably the first phone in the world to come with the Snapdragon 820 – an uber powerful processor that is touted to power the flagships of this year. The phone is stated to go on sale in the first half of 2016.
Specification Overview
The most notable figure in the spec sheet is of course the Snapdragon 820 processor – there’s four Qualcomm Kryo CPU cores chugging away, clocked at 2.2GHz, with an Adreno 530 GPU. Besides the processor, there’s 4GB of RAM, memory options of 32/64 or 128 GB, and a 6.3 inch display with a QHD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440.
There’s a 21MP camera at the back, a 3,400mAh battery running the show and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. There’s also a fingerprint sensor, which features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sense ID ultrasonic technology which adds more dimension to the security level.
Launch
The pricing and launch are still under wraps, but we can expect this phone to take on the other flagships by the end of H1 2016.
